“A very knowledgeable and expert teacher”
By Mohsen Bahmani Kashkouli, Professor of Ophthalmology, Head of Eye Plastic Unit, Rassoul Akram Hospital, Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS)
It is a great pleasure to write a few words about Dr. James Oestreicher who was amongst our renowned guests in the 19th congress of Iranian society of ophthalmology (IrSO). He was invited by the Iranian Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (IrSOPRS) in 2009 and delivered some lectures in the field of OPRS during our annual meeting to which we received very positive feedback from our attending ophthalmologists. His articles, published in different ophthalmic plastic and other peer reviewed journals, have always been inspiring for the future researchers in this field.
A few of our trainees have been trained by him in his great ophthalmic plastic center with a very good achievement. I would therefore consider him a very knowledgeable and expert teacher in the field of ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery.
I look forward to inviting him to one of our upcoming national (Iranian-SOPRS) and or regional (Middle east-SOPRS) meetings in the near future.
"Lived up to my highest expectations"
I needed blepharoplasty surgery, opting for using the CO2 laser so I set about to find the right surgeon. Dr. Oestreicher was a true find especially since he's the one who pioneered transconjunctival lower blepharoplasty in Canada, along with the CO2 laser. I went with my gut instinct and was right If you're looking for a REAL oculoplastic surgeon, then this is the man to call. Just sit down with him and you'll immediately understand what I am talking about.
